  • God's Recall Notice Jul 30 2011 - 1:22pm

    IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE!!

The Maker of all human beings, is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed, “Sub-sequential Internal Non-morality”, or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.

The subject of the Holy Spirit is one of the most misunderstood and misinterpreted subjects among Christians and non-Christians. Many people are afraid to hear sermons about the Holy Spirit because of incorrect teachings they may have received in the past. The topic of speaking in tongues and the gifts of the Spirit are often shunned as a result. However, the Holy Spirit is real. He desires to work through you so that you can experience the power that God ordained every Christian to have and use in these last days. Gaining an understanding of who the Holy Spirit is, and who He is not, is critical in order to experience His presence and power.

  • Winning the war within Jul 30 2011 - 1:04pm

Pastor Andre Butler For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds –2 Corinthians 10:3-4 Paul is very clear in this verse that believers are in the midst of war. But in this war we don’t use natural means of fighting because we’re not warring against flesh and blood. In other words, we don’t pick up swords, spears, or even a gun. However, we do have weapons. One weapon is the Word of God, and another is the anointing of God. Paul again says that our weapons aren’t carnal, or natural weapons. Our weapons are actually spiritual, and they are mighty through God.

  • How to measure success Jul 30 2011 - 1:02pm

Brent Barnett We live in a world where success is defined in innumerable ways, most of which are wrong. Sadly, even the professing church has been prone to increasingly err in its understanding of true, Biblical success. Whether the pressuring voices come from within the church or without, we must not give in to their distortions and perversions of what God says success really is. Paul says toward the very end of his life, writing to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:6-8, “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.

  • Ask God for what you want Jul 30 2011 - 1:01pm

Bishop E. Earl Jenkins “The reason you don’t have what you want is…you don’t ask God.” James 4:2 TLB Imagine walking into a restaurant on a whim and asking if your order is ready. “When did you call it in?” the server asks. “Oh I didn’t,” you reply, “I just thought perhaps you’d have something with my name on it.” Sound ridiculous? No more so than expecting God to answer requests you haven’t made – or made in faith believing. James says, “The reason you don’t have what you want is…you don’t ask God.” Does that mean He’ll automatically give you everything you ask for? No. James adds, “Even when you do ask you don’t get it because…you want only what will give you pleasure” (Jas 4:3 TLB).

  • The power of the tongue Jul 30 2011 - 12:58pm

Pastor Marquis Boone James 3:2-11 (NIV) “We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

  • Consider Your Ways Jul 30 2011 - 12:55pm

When something bad happens to us, we are often quick to ask, “Why me, God?” Or, when something good happens to someone else, we may ask, “Why not me, God?” In God’s Word, we are instructed to ask questions of ourselves about ourselves when things aren’t going as we’d planned or desired. Haggai 1:5 – 6, tells us to “consider your ways” to find the root of many problems: Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

  • A Moment of Thanks Jul 30 2011 - 12:52pm

Life is hard, and every day is challenging. You may be wondering just now if you can go on. Perhaps another person is vexing you. Perhaps you’ve been maligned or criticized. You’re discouraged with unanswered prayer. Maybe you’re feeling like Elijah under the broom tree, wanting to die. Try praying with thanksgiving. A thankful attitude is the cure for many emotional ailments. Take depression, for example. What is depression or discouragement except the total collapse of thanksgiving in our lives? Thanksgiving is also the opposite of discontent.
