A word from our pastor
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord!
I come to you with a grateful heart because of the favor that IPC Orlando has experienced in the past three decades of existence in Central Florida. Our families have grown from three to a hundred, adding to the vibrant fellowship in Orlando.
I thank the Lord for the increase He has given us, in terms of number and character. Today this church, directly and indirectly, supports over 100 missionaries, many children, and orphans in the state of Bihar, India. Additionally, the church organizes student-led mission trips to Haiti to feed the homeless, provide medical care, and construct drinking wells and toilets. It also provides educational support for those in India and Bangladesh.
I praise the Lord for the revived missionary spirit among the young and the adults. Our worship services and prayer initiatives are a blessing to our congregation and the many around the world who view us online. By no means am I saying that we are perfect, but that we are being changed and growing towards maturity with much room for improvement.
Our church has felt the issue of space limitation during our worship services and fellowship times. We have crossed our allowed seating capacity and exceeded the limit to the point of violating the fire code. When we have special events in our community, like weddings and funerals, the space limitation is felt the most. All that we hope to communicate is an urgent need for space and a new sanctuary.
Due to the explosive growth of the church, the leadership felt the need to build a new sanctuary. After much deliberation and prayers, we embarked on a new $3 million dollar, 500 seat, church building project. The members raised $600,000 through individual pledges, and we were able to secure a bank loan for $2.1 million dollars. We are currently in need of raising another $350,000 dollars to pay for our pews, audio, video and lighting equipment, and installation. The bank will not loan us additional funding. We are now faced with an immediate need for funds with construction almost half-way through completion.
Would you prayerfully consider lending us a helping hand in this moment of our greatest need? This church will forever be grateful to you for your generous and sacrificial gift, and your reward in eternity will be great. As spiritual darkness closes in on this city and many others alike, the vision of this church is to be a beacon of hope to the lost and the perishing. You have an opportunity to become a change agent by partnering together with us to be used by God to impact this part of the world for His kingdom.
